The Greiner Group, headquartered in Kremsmünster, has joined the Viennese start-up temprify. They didn’t want to reveal how much the minority stake is worth to the Upper Austrians. When asked, there was talk of a mid-six-figure amount.
The Viennese start-up, founded in 2018, is the first company to offer transport cool boxes as a complete dry ice-free system. These ensure compliance with the legally prescribed cold chain for food ordered online.
The system was specially developed for the needs of online retailing for same-day delivery of refrigerated and frozen food, announced Greiner. “In contrast to previous last mile solutions, the start-up is offering a cost-effective alternative without any active cooling or dry ice.”
The temprify solution is to be further developed with Greiner’s commitment. Greiner CEO Axel Kühner announced that he would continue to look around for minority stakes in the start-up scene.
