Iron

Hierro is an eclectic grill that offers an unbeatable location on the beautiful Nordelta Bay, with a semi-enclosed gallery and a large room with a modern design. It specializes in matured and grilled meats with suggestions such as smoked sausage, fine vacuum, bone-in sausage steak and an exclusive cut of Wagyu beef. There are also fish, homemade pasta and interesting preparations based on seasonal organic vegetables. A separate point for its classic and signature cocktails, and its careful selection of wines.

Jesus thing

The beginnings of the emblematic grill located on the corner of Gurruchaga and Cabrera go back to 1953. First as a warehouse and then as a meat restaurant, it maintains its still life spirit to this day, becoming a Buenos Aires icon. The grill is the heart of Lo de Jesús, from which entrails, steak eyes, golden provoletas and grilled vegetables come out, among many other delicacies, all at their perfect point.

Kamay Lounge

Kamay Lounge is a cozy space in Retiro to taste flavors of Nikkei fusion cuisine. With the talented Peruvian chef Raúl Zorrilla at the helm, here abundant recipes from his native country and others with a Japanese accent are showcased with the focus always on the quality of the product. The service is without a fixed menu and the staff “recites” the dishes of the day based on the freshest seafood and fish on the market. Some specialties are the fish pork rinds, the pink salmon ceviche and the Chaufa Izakaya Ebi (wok rice with a whipped omelette, prawns in anticuchera sauce, avocado, cilantro and homemade dressing).

Nozomi

For parents who love sushi and culinary experiences, Nozomi is a great place. It is an imposing bar inside the renovated Mercado de los Carruajes where the great Juan Matsuoka -a reference in Japanese cuisine- designs bites of traditional Japanese cuisine that are offered in Omakase mode: on the recommendation of the chef. All the preparations of the day are made with fresh fish (such as sea bass, grouper, mullet, sea bream, pomfret and more) and are showcased in carefully crafted and presented pieces, always in view of the diner.

The house of Catalonia

The casal is a special jewel. Its construction began in 1886. Near the entrance, the bar is located, under a wonderful stained glass from 1880 that accompanies the honor staircase of the historic building. There, the specialties are tapas: tripe, tumaca bread, anchovies and countless authentic tapas that will make us feel at times like in Barcelona. The restaurant offers Catalan cuisine. It is a different and high-end culinary option that proposes a menu inspired by gastronomy, such as Catalan cuisine, which has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Where you can taste various specialties of Mediterranean cuisine and especially Catalan cuisine. Suggested dish: seafood paella.

With a Caribbean influence but adapted to the local flavor, Chipper Seafood presents some unique and recommended dishes to enjoy an unmissable meal with the family: Among these dishes offered by Chipper Seafood, with a Nikkei influence adapted to the Argentine palate, you can enjoy the Ceviche Carretillero, a fusion of its classic ceviche with breaded shellfish, leche de tigre, ají limo, and sweet potato with orange or Parchita Prawns, made up of prawns in a passion fruit and ginger sauce, creamy sweet potato, chips and homemade furikake.

Il Giardino

At Il Giardino Romagnoli, in the elegant Recova de Posadas, you can enjoy Italian recipes based on imported products and local raw materials of excellent quality. Their pasta section showcases a variety of Italian dry and fresh handmade options like penne rigate, spaghetti, fettuccine, toscani tortelli, blue cheese ravioli with ricotta and walnuts, ossobuco capeletti and more. They can be combined with typical sauces of your choice and some favorites are black truffle cream, seafood sauce, bolognese and homemade pesto.

Pasta

Pasta is the “ristorante e mercato italiano” of the Piedmontese Mauro Lacagnina that today has two stores located in Palermo and Belgrano. Both function as a market, but the Belgrano branch is also home to its factory and a restaurant with table service. On June 19, there will be exclusive dishes outside the menu to celebrate with the family. The options of the day are: focaccia stuffed with porchetta with arugula and organic pomodoro as a starter, braised ossobuco agnolotti with malbec meat reduction as the main course, and moist three-chocolate cake for dessert.

Classic still life. Since 1950, an obligatory stop for actors and the public after theater performances, located in downtown, it has a large room and a varied menu. In Pepito it is also ideal to eat pasta, and its parisienne sauce is incomparable. Seafood and squid rings are highly recommended as well. For dessert there is no need to go elsewhere as Pepito has a very tasteful dessert and coffee menu. Suggested dish: fusilli al fierrito with tuco and pesto.

Chef Mauro Massimino is an expert in vegetarian, vegan and raw recipes. At his Palermo location, Buenos Aires Verde, he proposes tempting dishes made only with ingredients free of pesticides. Its aromatic torrontés, a fresh malbec rosé, an interesting cabernet franc and many more options are shared in an elegant and modern design environment along with creative signature “small dishes”. The braised ossobuco croquettes with torrontés with Sardinian cheese and miso mayonnaise are recommended; crispy sweetbreads with purée, pickles and lemon cracker; sausage with babaganoush, green leaves, zucchini and coconut milk; and the pork churrasquito cooked at low temperature.
