Annalena Baerbock (41, Greens) has apparently been infected with the corona virus. The German Foreign Minister tested positive for the virus during a trip abroad to Pakistan.
Annalena Baerbock noticed a loss of taste
Baerbock had “a positive rapid test after lunch today after noticing a loss of taste”. The 41-year-old politician had “tested herself consistently”. A previous test was negative that morning. All of the foreign minister’s appointments have now been cancelled. Afterwards Baerbock should go to Greece and Turkey.
“Good morning from Islamabad, Pakistan”, Baerbock had few hours. She had arrived and thanked her Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (33) for a “warm welcome”. Among other things, she spoke to him about the climate crisis and how the “pressure on the Taliban” could be increased.
