The schedule of shows will continue on October 8 in Córdoba and on the 31st of that same month in Neuquén, to then begin preparing for their great December concert in the roofed stadium belonging to the Argentinos Juniors Athletic Association.
For this special occasion, international guests and surprises are expected, as anticipated by the band, which achieved great popularity from the versions made by other artists of many of its classics, as in the case of “Mr. Collection”turned into a hit by Bersuit Vergarabator the “Cucumelo Anthem”known in the voice of the remembered quartetist Rodrigo.
However, once recognized as responsible for those classics, the band managed to install other hits like “The piqueteros methods”, “Cutralcó” and “Cromañón”among others.
“We are a band that was not aware of what was done,” he had told Télam De Vega, in the summer of 2021 when referring to his story, which was captured in the book “They have the power and they are going to lose it”, by the journalist Diego Skliar.
“Las Manos de Filippi never stopped to think about what he did because we are going forward and every year we did more. Until 2020 we had been doing more than 100 shows per year,” the artist had boasted.
On the occasion, the author of the book had risked that Las Manos de Filippi “in music continues to have a punk-rock leg for the ‘do it yourself’ and always on the side of the road between the street and circus thing”, although he had warned about the difficulty in tagging the group because “when you want to put it in some locker, that overflows in a ridiculous way”.
However, the combative nature of its lyrics and self-management appear as the two great vectors that govern the band’s destiny.
Tickets for the show at the Malvinas Argentinas can be purchased through the Passline site.
