Theme song from “Twin Peaks”

Cruise’s most famous song was “Falling”. Written by Angelo Badalamenti, the instrumental was used as the theme song for Lynch’s cult series Twin Peaks. Lynch wrote the lyrics for Cruise’s singing version, which became an international hit. The song was also featured on their debut album, Floating into the Night, released in 1989. Her other albums appeared only sporadically: in 1993 she released “The Voice of Love”. “The Art of Being a Girl” followed in 2002 and most recently “My Secret Life” (2011).

In 2018, Cruise announced that she had the autoimmune disease lupus and struggled with chronic pain.
