There are serious allegations against Prince Andrew: Virginia Roberts Giuffre has filed a lawsuit against him in the USA and accuses the Queen’s son of having raped her several times as a minor. The incident is related to the abuse scandal involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in prison in 2019. Prince Andrew was several overnight guests at Epstein’s home in the USA and the Caribbean. As early as November 2019, Andrew had to resign from his royal duties because of these allegations. And if his brother Charles has his way, there is no way back for him in public.
Prince Andrew denied all allegations

Prince Andrew always claimed to have heard nothing of the machinations of his friend Epstein and his ex-partner Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently waiting in a New York prison for her trial. In a TV interview in November 2019, he tried to downplay the allegations and denied everything. What was intended as a major clarification, however, failed thoroughly: Andrew got entangled in contradictions and expressed sympathy with the convicted criminal Epstein. It should be the drop that finally broke the barrel. Afterwards, both Charles and William are said to have suggested resigning from all his royal duties, which was initially done on a trial basis. In May 2020, Andrew had to relinquish his last public duties – forever, it seems at the moment. Most recently, he was seen in public at the funeral of his father Prince Philip.
Andrew has not spoken up since the lawsuit was announced. He is accused of having refused to cooperate with the police on several occasions. That could no longer be possible with the current lawsuit.
