What is MuseumWeek?  The hashtag MW is installed on the networks for a week

The idea of ​​innovation reveals much of the tone of this edition: “In a hyperconnected and hyperglobalized world -the event is presented-, in which awareness and hopes are forged on the network, in a complex and rapidly changing world that faces great challenges that concern all of humanity, we believe that cultural organizations play a fundamental role”.

Therefore, the bet is to encourage “accompanying the public in these changes, preparing and constituting minds, being the melting pot of societies that are more agile in the face of the changes that digital technology brings, and being the catalysts of more creative and more involved societies in their own future”, proposes the MuseumWeek of this 2022.

The campaign seeks to motorize resignifications around cultural institutions as well as proposals based on each day, through guiding guides. For example, tomorrow Tuesday the axis will be the creators, so the idea will be on that day that the artists express themselves and the museums are curators creating playlists as well as stories.

The key themes proposed in this edition are: democratization of art and creation, art and NFTs, metaverse, virtual reality, augmented reality and museology, social networks and cultural mediation, digital inclusion, social listening and cultural digital campaigns, access to culture for everyone.

MuseumWeek has the support of unesco and since its creation it has been growing with the adherence of cultural institutions from all over the world. From Argentina, among others, the Museo MAR of Mar del Plata, the museums of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the National Museum of Fine Arts.
