Seungri, whose real name is Lee Seung Hyun, is also expected to pay a fine of 1.15 billion won, the equivalent of more than 840,000 euros, according to the Ministry of Defense. The court ordered the immediate arrest of the 30-year-old. He was accused of organizing prostitutes for foreign investors in 2015 and 2016. He is also said to have embezzled money and violated applicable laws in connection with gambling in Las Vegas.
According to Yonhap, the 30-year-old has rejected most of the allegations in court. The prosecution had asked for a five-year prison term. Seungri retired from show business after being involved in a drug and sex scandal in 2019.
