As an asthma patient, Sarah Michelle Gellar wanted to prevent an infection with Corona. But now the virus has hit her “hard”.
Sarah Michelle Gellar (45) got through the pandemic well for two and a half years. But now she has “caught” the corona virus. That writes the “Buffy” actress.
Back soon with “Super Antibodies”
The actress is vaccinated and boosted, but the virus hit her hard. She addresses all people who consider corona disease to be a mild cold: “Maybe that’s the case for a lucky few,” she writes. “But I’ve had a different experience as a (relatively) young, fit person who has struggled with asthma and lung problems all my life.”
Despite medication and examinations, the course was “hard” for her. “I know I’m on the mend, but it’s certainly not an easy road,” Gellar wrote. However, the actress promises to be back soon, “hopefully with super antibodies… if only for a while”. Finally, she quotes a friend: “I would wear a mask in the shower so I never get anything like that again”.
Corona as a threat to her whole family
Like Sarah Michelle Gellar, her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. (46) and their children Charlotte Grace (12) and Rocky James (9) suffer from chronic airway inflammation. Back in November 2021, Gellar had spoken out about the threat the pandemic poses to her family. The actress did not write in her story whether the husband and children were also infected.
