Villa Gesell: 6th Traditional Argentine Festival “La Criolla”
From Friday the 17th to Monday the 20th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the northern entrance of Villa Gesell. It will be a celebration with a country spirit, Creole activities, wine tasting and varieties of dishes: barbecue, locros, empanadas and desserts. There will be craft stalls, music and allusive dances to enjoy with the family. And Bruno Arias will perform on Sunday on the main stage. Organized by the Municipality of Villa Gesell and admission is free.
Saavedra (Espartillar): 1st TRUFAR: Argentine Black Truffle Festival
Organized by the Municipality of Saavedra, it will be on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19, from 12 to 18, at the Espartillar primary school and at the Belgrano Sports Club. A series of talks will be given by renowned chefs who will invite you to learn about the use of truffles in gastronomy, regional truffle producers and those from other parts of the country will be presented.
In addition, there will be a truffle search demonstration, a guided tour of the local truffle farm and a food and craft fair. Espartillar generates the largest production of Black Truffles in the country. Junín: 36th Silverside Festival
It will be on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19, from 09, in the Laguna de Gómez Natural Park. It will consist of a fishing contest for pejerrey embarked in the largest closed waters in the country. The main competition will be complemented by another dedicated to coastal fishing for adults. There will also be children’s shore fishing and kayaking. Organized by the Municipality of Junín.
The program is complemented by a welcome dinner show and a musical show with the presentation of the Bersuit Vergarabat. There will be more than $800 thousand in prizes. It is mandatory to have a current sports license that can be processed at: https://mda.gba.gob.ar/sistemas/mi/pesca/licencia/validacion. Registration is fee and, to witness the Festival, admission is free to the public.
Luján (Carlos Keen): 19th Festival of the Sun in Carlos Keen
From Saturday 18 to Monday 20, starting at 12, at the Carlos Keen Tourist Town railway station. It will be a festival inspired by the worldview of the original peoples. Local artists Nacho show, El Ombú Orchestra, Municipal Tango Orchestra, Andrés Caporales, Capiquí, La Sabrosa, La Tamarí Circo, Mati Sen, Utopian Art, Cannon Meat and the Orchestra of Native Instruments of the National University of Luján will perform.
In addition, there will be samples, live DJs and gastronomic proposals. Likewise, the solstice ceremony will be held, together with native peoples, and the traditional bonfire of wishes. At the closing of the event, Chango Spasiuk, renowned accordionist, composer and producer from Misiones, will perform. Entrance is free and open. And it is organized by the Municipality of Luján with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, the Cultural Institute of the Province and the Undersecretary of Tourism of the province of Buenos Aires.
