The movie “Toy Story” wrote film history almost three decades ago as the first animated film created entirely on the computer. Now the story continues in the cinema: The focus of the Pixar-Disney production “Lightyear” is the space hero Buzz Lightyear. This toy first caused envy and jealousy in “Toy Story” and then many adventures in the children’s room. At that time – in the film – a movie about the courageous astronaut was the model for the toy. Now this film is coming to the cinema “in real” so to speak.
Stranded on another planet
The young Buzz Lightyear takes off in his space shuttle to explore the endless expanses of space. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work out quite as he had imagined, and he ends up stranded with his crew – all beginners! – on an alien planet. At least you can rely on Socke, his clever cat-shaped robot.
“Lightyear” has what it takes to be a blockbuster, captivating with a successful mixture of suspense, entertainment, humor and emotions. It has everything a good, entertaining family film needs. The film makes the audience laugh, you root for the characters, tears are shed, and in the course of his adventures the hero is allowed to have experiences that allow him to grow. (APA)
