“We had the idea three years ago, and now everyone is coming around the corner, although I have to say that Tom Cruise had the idea of doing a sequel to ‘Top Gun’ for a long time,” added Krüger. He saw the film and was very enthusiastic about it, “because he actually got the hang of it with his flashbacks, where he thinks about the past, about his old buddy”. According to “Kurier”, the two German stars are now waiting for a suitable producer for the sequel. An important part of the “Supernasen” series was missing from the 40th anniversary. The Austrian film and series producer Karl Spiehs, who in addition to “Die Supernasen” also launched the cult series “Ein Schloss am Wörthersee”, died at the age of 90 at the beginning of the year.
