After making her TV comeback, Lori Loughlin has walked the red carpet for the first time since the bribery scandal.
Actress Lori Loughlin (57) has celebrated her comeback on the red carpet after a three-year absence. The ‘Full House’ star appeared at the DesignCare 2022 Gala in Los Angeles this past weekend. It was her first public appearance since the bribery scandal.
In May 2020, the actress and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, 59, found themselves guilty of paying a $500,000 bribe to get their two daughters, Olivia and Isabella, admitted to the University of Southern California. Loughlin was released from a Dublin, California prison in late December 2020, where she had been serving just under two months. Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, was serving a five-month sentence at a facility in Lompoc, California.
TV comeback already celebrated
Meanwhile, Loughlin was able to start her return to the TV screens in the winter of last year. The actress joined the cast in the second season of the series “When Hope Calls”, which made its debut with two special episodes just before Christmas 2021. The series is an offshoot of “When Calls the Heart,” which Loughlin starred in for the first six of nine seasons.
