All the secrets of the only mandarin gin in the world

“The brand born in 2015 as a personal project. At that time she was 21 years old and studying Business Administration in Buenos Aires.

I was already a fan of gin tonic and at that time imports were quite closed, there was little product and the gin that was available was very expensive; National gins were practically non-existent. That’s why one day it occurred to me manufacture a premium national ginwhich represents my province of Entre Ríos and the region of Mesopotamia, through its botanists and its recipe, with very indigenous products such as fresh water from the Guaraní aquifer and the Paraná River and with natural tangerines of the Uruguayan coast of the Mesopotamian region”, Thomas tells.

“We bring the tangerines from a town called Villa del Rosario. At that time he didn’t know anything about how to make gin; in fact, he had not studied anything related to the elaboration of a food product. And I started to investigate. On the internet there were practically no brands of gin made in Argentina, I think there was just one more. Today there are more than 400.

“There wasn’t much information to learn. Today you want to make craft beer, you go to YouTube and a tutorial appears. One day I went to the Ateneo to buy a finance book and ended up buying a book about gin and distillates. this is how it all started. I bought a mini alembic, I started to do tests -without knowing anything- but with the clear idea of having a product with those botanists and that represents the region. I read, I informed myself, until after almost two years I found the recipe, with a more or less standardized product.

At first it was very traditional, for personal consumption and friends. In 2018 I partnered with Yvonne Storey -my cousin- and we installed the plant in Paraná. We registered the product, the facilities were enabled and other legal and administrative issues.
