Thorsten Legat has to have a testicle removed. The training accident at “RTL high diving” weighs more heavily than expected.
Thorsten Legat (53) has to have a testicle removed. The injury that the ex-soccer player suffered while training for the TV show “RTL Turmsprung” is probably more serious than initially thought.
During a training jump from the three-meter board, Legat hit the water unhappily and tore a testicle. “The egg will be removed in mid-August,” explains the ex-soccer player himself. He’s doing well given the circumstances. “In the beginning I thought the world was falling upside down for me because I was shocked and sad.”
Legat was only there as a guest when the TV show “RTL Turmsprung” was broadcast on June 3, 2022. “My scrotum is swollen, the egg is damaged,” he explained his state of health on the show. At the time, the doctors were still assuming a crack.
fertility is not affected
For cosmetic reasons, Legat will have an implant placed in August. “I got enlightened, it’s like a breast implant.” He does not have to fear fertility. According to a doctor quoted by RTL, only a healthy testicle produces enough sperm. But Legat has completed family planning anyway. With his longtime wife Alexandra (56), the jungle camp participant from 2016 has two adult sons.
Despite injury at “Ninja Warrior Germany”
However, the injury does not prevent Thorsten Legat from taking part in the next action show. For RTL he is in the upcoming celebrity edition of “Ninja Warrior Germany”. He races through the course for a good cause. He is not worried about his health. “You can’t break anything anymore. That’s good.”
