Royals: King Willem-Alexander swings the rolling pin

During the state visit to Austria, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima complete a colorful program.

The Dutch royal couple put on cooking aprons for a visit to a Viennese integration project.

On the second day of his state visit to Austria, King Willem-Alexander showed the photographers in the “Community Cooking” kitchen with a rolling pin while Queen Máxima worked on a dough.

There, the royal couple also met refugees from Ukraine. The program also included a visit to the National Library, a meeting with Austria’s Chancellor Karl Nehammer and a concert by the Dutch Chamber Choir in the evening.

On Wednesday, the couple travels to Graz by train and finds out about the city’s cycling projects, among other things. The royal family has close private ties to Austria and has been spending their winter holidays in Lech am Arlberg for decades.
