“No one is in the running,” he revealed. “We are thinking about where to go with him, we are talking about it. There’s no script and we can’t think of one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next movie because it’s really a reinvention of Bond. We are reinventing who he is and that takes time. I would say there are at least two years left to film.”
The private dinner was held at Claridge’s Hotel in central London and hosted by the President of the British Film Institute, Tim Richards.
Amazon Prime Video prepares a reality show about James Bond
Amazon Prime Video has greenlit its first TV show based on the iconic British spy with “007’s Road to a Million,” a James Bond-esque twist on a race around the world.
The eight-part series will be produced by Britain’s 72 Films and the producers of Bond. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilsonalong with MGM Television.
The production of “007’s Road to a Million” will kick off later this year, and the new show will launch on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. Casting is underway and applicants are invited to submit submissions.
The show will see contestants competing on a global adventure to win a £1 million ($1.3 million) cash prize. Filmed in many of the historic locations featured throughout the seminal Bond films, the “cinematic format” will be a test of intelligence and endurance. In addition to overcoming physical obstacles, the contestants, who will compete in teams of two, must correctly answer hidden questions in different locations around the world to advance to the next challenge.
