The band has yet to comment on the slip-up despite the flood of photos and jokes that went viral on social media in the days following the performance.
This is not the first time that Kiss has suffered a geographic error. Last year, there was a misspelling of “Cincinnati” (adding an additional “T”) on city-specific tour jerseys. The merchandise was only available at the band’s show on August 29 at Riverbend Music Center in Midwestern Queen City.
Kiss is currently on his world tour “End Of The Road”which will continue through Europe until the end of July.
The “End Of The Road Tour” is the band’s self-proclaimed last world tour…after a “Farewell Tour” in 2000. Founding member and bassist Gene Simmons insists that the “End Of The Road Tour” is the last farewell of the band, out of “pride and self-respect and love and admiration for the fans”.
