When a couple of older men bang on a pack, plug in their electric guitars to cover their favorite quarrels from the 60s and 70s together, it can quickly degenerate into an event that is as embarrassing as it is tormenting. But not if the gentlemen in question are called Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that there is also a musical miracle worker like Tommy Henriksen, who has already worked with greats like Lou Reed, Lady Gaga or Meat Loaf. Long story short: The Hollywood Vampires will be up to mischief again next year at the OÖN concert summer at Burg Clam! On July 1, 2023 the time has come, then Clam performance No. 2 of the super group will take place after their Meierhofwiesen debut in 2018. The pre-sale for this concert highlight starts on July 8th, punctually at 9 a.m. Tickets are available from all known ticket offices.
In addition to indestructible quarrels by The Who, David Bowie, AC/DC or The Doors, the band will certainly have the songs from the second Vampires album “Rise” from 2019 in their luggage for their performance next year. According to their own statements, they wrote it “most expensive bar cover band in the world” even own songs for the first time, 13 in total. “The record shows everyone from their best side, without anyone looking over our shoulder,” says guitarist Joe Perry.
Johnny Depp in particular will remember the 2018 clam gig. Backstage, he met his cousin Cynthia Morrow, who came from Texas and had been living in Vienna for many years.
