Duchess Camilla will accompany the upcoming issue of the British magazine “Country Life” as guest editor. Prince Charles’ wife can also be seen on the cover – and the photo was taken by daughter-in-law Kate herself.
The British magazine “Country Life” has taken a look behind the scenes of the upcoming issue with a snapshot: it shows Duchess Kate taking a picture of Duchess Camilla with a camera in her garden in the English county of Wiltshire. Kate wears jeans and sneakers, Camilla wears a blue floral print dress. Camilla accompanied the Land-Zeitung as a guest editor on the occasion of her 75th birthday and explicitly requested Kate as the photographer for her cover photo.
“We couldn’t be happier with the result,” said Paula Lester, the weekly magazine’s managing editor, on its website. “In fact, the images were so good that we had difficulty picking just three of them, from which the Duchess of Cornwall then chose the final photo.” She also praised the professionalism of Duchess Kate, who took the assignment very seriously. “She called me to discuss the cover art requirements and then put together a selection of beautifully shot photos.” The magazine even offered to hire Kate for other jobs in the future.

Duchess Kate is known to like to grab the camera herself. She is often the one who takes the official pictures of her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. She has also published her own photographs of her husband Prince William and their children. For a project about the Holocaust in 2020, she even staged photos with survivors and their families and received a lot of recognition for it.
Incidentally, it was her paternal grandfather who brought Kate to her hobby. As a child, he showed her how to use a camera – and infected his granddaughter with his passion for photography. The country life magazine, featuring Duchess Camilla on the cover, will be available in newsagents in the UK on July 13.
