In the new 60-second sneak peek, an ominous sign in the night sky raises questions for the inhabitants of Middle-earth. Prime members can watch it exclusively for 48 hours. “The heavens are strange,” a man from Middle-earth gloomily intones in the trailer.
Amazon will continue to build up to the show’s launch with another full trailer scheduled for July 14.
The platform has also revealed the name of the seven main characters: Prince Durin IV (Owain Arthur), Princess Disa (Sophia Nomvete), Elrond (Robert Aramayo), Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Arondir (Ishmael Cruz Cordoba), Bronwyn (Nazanin Boniadi) and Halbrand (charlie vickers).
