From July 14th, the Castle Festival will show the play “The Miracle of Wörgl”. “Although we decided on the piece in 2018, it is more relevant than ever,” says club chairwoman Stefanie Stadler. The content revolves around a true story: When poverty and misery prevailed in the interwar period, the inhabitants of Wörgl created a local economic boom under their unconventional mayor with regionally valid money. The play is performed exclusively by amateurs, directed by actress Doris Harder, who trained at the Reinhardt Seminar and who also rewrote the play with Nici Neiss.
“Heidi” as a children’s play
The Castle Festival also has something for children: from July 19 to August 3, the play “Heidi” (each at 7 p.m.) directed by Andrea Schnitt will be shown ten times.
From 6 p.m. on the day of the game, visitors can see on the website whether the game will be played on the open-air stage if the weather is uncertain. In the event of light rain, raincoats will be distributed, with brief rain showers being interrupted. (hes)
