The Rolling Stones: 60 Years in 60 Songs, Part 2

In the United States it peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Out Of Control” was released in 1998 as the third and final single from his album Bridges to Babylon of 1997, the twenty-first studio album in the United Kingdom and the twenty-third in the United States. The song is “inspired” by the theme Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone of The Temptations. It was performed on the last tour that brought the Stones to Argentina in 2016.

Monkey Man

Before They Make Me Run

“Before They Make Me Run” it’s track eight of the 1978 album Some Girls, fourteenth in the United Kingdom and sixteenth in the United States. It was written by Keith Richards in response to his 1977 arrest in Toronto for possession of heroin with intent to traffic and possession of cocaine and has the guitarist taking lead vocals on the song. Richards performed the song for the first time live during a concert on the North American tour of The New Barbarians in 1979. It was not until Steel Wheels Tourin 1989, which was included in the Stones’ repertoire.

“Get Off of My Cloud” was released in 1965 as a companion single to (I Can’t Get No) Satisfactionwas included in the album December’s Children (And Everybody’s). The Stones have said that the song is written in reaction to their sudden popularity following the success of “Satisfaction” and refers to their aversion to people’s expectations of them. In the United States, it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 6, 1965, and stayed there for two weeks. The song stayed at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart for three weeks in November of that year.
