“Love things”: A mirror of the world

The latter embodied in “love thing” (Director/script: Anika Decker) “Fack ju Göhte” star Elyas M’Barek: Marvin Bosch is even driven to the toilet as the film star of the hour. That’s too much for him. His manager Samira (Peri Baumeister) is the only one who gives him a connection to his earlier, not unencumbered life. Then Marvin ends up in a feminist off-theatre with little money and a lot of fighting spirit. Marvin feels curiosity, attraction, strangeness as well as being overwhelmed. With Lucie Heinze (left) as co-artistic director, this conflict takes shape.

Decker stages growing pains on both sides as a successful comedy, in which irritations sometimes dissolve wonderfully ironically and which reveals more layers than expected. It’s not free from slapstick, but it remains amusing. D 2022, 99 min. In cinemas now
