Jürgen Drews has announced that he is retiring. His wife, Ramona Drews, says the decision was “exactly right.”
His wife Ramona (48) has been at Jürgen Drews’ (77) side for more than 25 years. She also supports him after he recently announced that he is retiring. “It goes without saying for me to support every decision with Jürgen. It doesn’t matter how it turns out”, . She also believes that this is “just right”.
She wants to “always be there for him”
Jürgen Drews made it public last year that he suffered from the nervous disease polyneuropathy, which limits his ability to move. It is a “light form”, explains his wife now. Some things are going “a little slower than before”, but the disease does not affect the everyday life of the two. Her husband has “changed in recent years. He has become much calmer, which I like very much.” The “deceleration” does him “very well”, after all he used to be “constantly energized”.
The two met in 1991 – and their love is apparently still as strong as it was at the beginning. The singer had on Saturday in “The Big Schlager Beach Party 2022 – Here we go again!” in the first reveals that he will have his last show in the fall. And he shared how important his wife is to him: “For me, Ramona is the greatest!” She also confirms now: “I love him more than anything and of course I will always be there for him and do everything to make sure he is fine.”
