In the director’s words Roger Guel “For me, Fanático is a series that talks about the need that human beings have to be remembered, about the feeling that you have to “be someone” and about the current obsession with recognition and the culture of “likes”. In a society where everyone wants to be famous, the question is: would you do anything for fame? Fame has a price and in Fanatic we are going to see it. As Einstein said “Fame for men is like hair: it grows after death, when it is of little use to them”.
The new production features Dani del Aguila (Madres. Amor y vida), Federico Mania Sibona and Yago de Torres (Adagio, Ayer florecia) as screenwriters and creators, and Alizz as composer and producer of the songs What did I do?, Devils and Rebellion, along with Lorenzo Ferro.
What is Fanatic about?
Spain’s biggest musical idol takes his own life in front of his fans at the first concert of a world tour. Lazaro, a young food delivery man and unconditional fan, sees an opportunity to escape from his monotonous and precarious life and overnight becomes what he has been admiring for a long time: his own fanatic. He adopts the image of him, his music, his life and his fans. Under the pressure of a music industry that sees the opportunity not to lose everything achieved with the star, Lazaro turns all aspects of his life into a show.
