Dieter Bohlen returns for the final “DSDS” season. This is no surprise for Luca Hänni. “I knew it,” said the singer.
“Deutschland sucht den Superstar” will enter its final season in 2023 – and Dieter Bohlen (68) is on board again. RTL announced this surprising news on Wednesday. Luca Hänni (27), the 2012 winner, reacts calmly. “Personally, I suspected it,” he tells the news agency spot on news about Bohlen’s comeback. For the anniversary season – 20 years of “DSDS” – “it has to happen again”. The long-standing juror “is part of it”.
“Now they have a year without it [ihn] tried it and now it comes back. I think people are all happy about that. That’s nice,” explains Hänni. The show should be said goodbye “with lots of fireworks”. Bohlen had paused in 2021 – Florian Silbereisen (40) came for him on the jury, alongside Ilse DeLange (45) and Toby Gad ( 54).
Luca Hänni: “At some point you have to find an end”
Even the “DSDS” end does not come as a surprise to Luca Hänni: For him it is “completely normal” that a format is discontinued after 20 years. “At some point you have to come to an end. And I think it’s nice that they were able to do it for so long and are now giving everything again for the 20th season,” says the 27-year-old. He will “definitely watch the show in 2023” and keep his fingers crossed “for everyone who will take part again”. After all, participating in the last “DSDS” season was “an honor”.
The 27-year-old also remembers his own time at “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”: “It started in 2012, after that I was able to put my own team together. With a lot of diligence I’ve been able to do it for almost eleven years now and it’s easy a great gift.”
“DSDS” was “a milestone”
The singer found his “passion” and “passion” through “DSDS”. “I was very young then,” he says. Shortly before his 17th birthday he won the talent show. “It was really a milestone, the beginning of something really great. Of course I’m still very grateful for that,” enthuses Hänni.
Since his “DSDS” victory, the Swiss has already released five studio albums. In 2019 he took part in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “She Got Me” for his home country and made it to fourth place. In his private life, too, things are going like clockwork for the singer: he has been engaged to professional dancer Christina Luft (32) since January. The two met and loved each other in 2020 on the RTL show “Let’s Dance”. They are currently planning their wedding.
