He is supposed to explain the positive effects of physical exercise and healthy nutrition to his fellow inmates in physical education class. But he is probably not allowed to teach the practical part: As a newcomer, he does not yet have access to the fitness area.

Some relatives of prisoners have already written letters to the prison authorities to complain about the measure, which is perceived as preferential treatment. “It may not be the life of luxury that he is used to. But he has it better than most inmates,” the newspaper quoted a fellow inmate as saying.
The prison authorities denied any special treatment. “It is not true that there was any form of preferential treatment,” a spokesman for The Sun said. “Convicted offenders can accept a range of job and educational opportunities while incarcerated.
Becker hopes for extradition
The three-time Wimbledon winner was sentenced to prison in April because the court considered it proven that he had kept assets secret as part of bankruptcy proceedings. According to British media reports, Becker hopes to be extradited to Germany before the end of the year to serve out the remainder of his sentence. The possibilities of the open execution could enable a Christmas at home, the tennis star should hope.
