It is an emotional high for singer Jasmin Wagner. At noon on July 13, she had just announced that her divorce from ex-husband Frank Sippel was final. On the same evening she had the next news from her private life ready: the singer is expecting her first child at the end of the year.
The 42-year-old, who became known under the stage name “Blümchen”, announced this in an interview with “Bild”. “I feel full of energy. The baby is coming in winter,” she said enthusiastically. “I’m curious if I’ll still fit into my winter boots.”
Jasmin Wagner: The ex is not the father
Your now ex-husband Frank Sippel is not the father. Wagner and the 50-year-old have been separated since 2020. She has been with a fashion entrepreneur from Denmark for almost a year and a half – and decided to have children with him. “I came back from a long trip. We missed each other so much for the first time and knew that we were ready for the next step,” she tells the newspaper. “It then worked surprisingly quickly, right on the first try. And we’re more than happy about it.”
It is the first child for both parents-to-be. “This deep longing only arose in me now,” admits the 42-year-old. “He’s very loving, we’re both having this experience for the first time. The greatest adventure begins now.” The two of them have not yet planned to marry. It’s not up to Wagner: He simply hasn’t asked her yet, she revealed. “But he can.”
The two have not yet said anything about the sex of their baby together – because they also want to surprise themselves, revealed the expectant mother. “The sex has been written on a little piece of paper in my wallet for a long time. We haven’t opened it yet and are just waiting for the right moment.”
