Mark Fleischman: The Studio 54 legend is dead

Former Studio 54 owner Mark Fleischman is dead. He died last Wednesday at the age of 82.

The American businessman Mark Fleischman (1940-2022) is dead. The former owner of the famous US club Studio 54 died in Switzerland on July 13 at the age of 82. citing his longtime business partner Daniel Fitzgerald, Fleischman is said to have decided there for euthanasia after a long illness. What the entrepreneur suffered from could therefore never be determined.

Fleischman took over Studio 54, one of the most famous nightclubs in Manhattan, New York City, in 1980 and ran the place until 1986. During that time, big-name stars frequented the place. Fleischman is said to have been known as a real party legend by celebrities such as Andy Warhol (1928-1987), Mick Jagger (78), Truman Capote (1924-1984) and Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011). In addition to Studio 54, he owned other clubs in New York and Los Angeles.
