Elon Musk: His father has a daughter with his stepdaughter

Elon Musk’s family is growing: As has now become known, his father fathered a daughter with his stepdaughter. The billionaire is said to have reacted angrily.

It has just become known that Elon Musk has become a father for the ninth time. The richest man in the world had twins at the end of last year with a senior employee of his brain chip start-up Neuralink. But there is still more family growth for the 51-year-old: he had a stepsister a few years ago.

His father Errol Musk, 76, told the British newspaper “The Sun” only now that he and his girlfriend Jana Bezuidenhout, 41 years his junior, had had a second child in 2019. Bezuidenhout gave birth to a son five years ago. The 35-year-old is Errol Musk’s stepdaughter, Musk had previously been married to her mother Heide for 18 years, and the couple also had two children. Jana Bezuidenhout was four years old when Errol Musk became her stepfather.

Father of Elon Musk: Two children with the stepdaughter

The child was “not planned”, said Elon Musk’s father to the “Sun”, but apparently laconically accepted the unwanted pregnancy: “The only reason we are in the world is reproduction.” “I didn’t take a paternity test, but she looks quite similar to my other daughters.” Errol Musk is now the father of seven children.

His daughters in particular reacted “shocked” to the news that he was with his stepdaughter: “She was a sister to her, and they still don’t like it.” Musk and Jana Bezuidenhout no longer live together, but there is still “affection”, as the 76-year-old puts it.

Elon Musk calls his father a ‘terrible person’

His son Elon Musk, who is from the marriage of Errol Musk and his ex-wife Maye, was 20 when his father met Jana Bezuidenhout’s mother. The billionaire is said to have reacted “angry” to the news, according to the “Sun”. The relationship between father and son is tense, Musk had described his father in 2017 in “Rolling Stone” as a “terrible person”.

Both have similar attitudes, at least in relation to having children. Elon Musk commented on the announcement of his twins via Twitter: “I’m doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is by far the greatest danger facing civilization.”
