Friend took her to the emergency room
A friend found her and took her to the emergency room, Wu continues. “Looking back, it’s surreal that a few DMs convinced me to end my own life, but that’s exactly what happened.” After her suicide attempt, she reconsidered her life, the “Hustlers” actress continues. “For the next several years, I put my career aside to focus on my mental health.” After a “little break from Hollywood” and “a lot of therapy,” she now feels brave enough to share her story so it can help others.
In the tweets that caused the shitstorm, Wu had glossed over the fact that her sitcom Fresh Off the Boat had gotten another season. For her role, which she no longer cared about at the time, she had to cancel another project.
