In tennis she has achieved pretty much everything. Maria Sharapova (35) was world number one and was one of only a few people to win all four Grand Slam tournaments. Now she is also celebrating a very special success in her private life: the former tennis player has become a mother for the first time. .

She published a picture showing her with her fiancé, Alexander Gilkes (42). Both proudly look at their baby together. Sharapova reveals that the little one was born on July 1st and is named Theodore. “The most beautiful, challenging and rewarding gift our little family could ask for,” comments the 35-year-old. And her profile now says “Mama”.
Also on Instagram to be pregnant. The Russian-born shared a picture of herself on the beach showing her baby bump. “Precious beginnings,” she wrote. And she joked, “Eating birthday cake for two has always been my specialty.”
Sharapova and Gilkes have been engaged since December 2020. : “I said ‘yes’ from the first day we saw each other.
