In the latest episode of their podcast “Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood”, the “Tokio Hotel” musicians Bill and Tom talk about a prison near Celle. Maybe they could move in there soon.
Since their 32nd birthday, September 1st, 2021, Tom and Bill Kaulitz have been running their own podcast on Spotify. In “Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood”, the Tokio Hotel twins have been giving their listeners insights into their life in the United States every week since then, talking about what is currently occupying them and looking back on their childhood and youth in the limelight .
In the latest episode “With the Mammut towards Sunset” they now revealed that they may soon want to become the owner of a prison that has since been abandoned. They received a voice message from the mayor of Celle, Dr. Jörg Nigge, which will be played in the episode and in which he encourages the twins in their plans.
“Tokio Hotel” musicians could become prison owners
But first things first: Bill and Tom heard that near the town of Celle, near Hanover, a former prison is currently for sale. Both then thought about what could be done with such a plot of land. Tom says: “Last time we had wild ideas about what we could do with it.”
Bill corrects him: “They weren’t wild ideas at all, they were great ideas.” He wants to “make a nightclub out of it, make it a restaurant out of it, or make it a hotel out of it – or all together.” However, it was not subsequently made known how concretely the plans have progressed.

The twelve-hectare former prison site consists of three parcels with a total area of almost twelve hectares, as summarized by the Lower Saxony State Office for Construction and Real Estate (NLBL). The correctional facility was built in 1978 and could accommodate up to 220 inmates.
The area secured with a concrete wall included accommodation, administration and supply buildings as well as workshops and warehouses. Outside the walled area are four terraced houses, some work and storage rooms, an administration building, the sewage treatment plant, a radio mast and farm buildings. The starting price for the upcoming auction is 250,000 euros.
