What is Jürgen Drews planning in his hit pension? His daughter Joelina spoke up after the announcement of his career end.
After many years on the Schlager stage, Jürgen Drews (77) announced the end of his career. That also came as a surprise to his daughter Joelina Drews (26), who released her new single “Breakup Song” on July 15. “Honestly, I wasn’t involved in this decision at all, but was informed by my mother the day before my father’s official announcement,” she reveals in an interview with the news agency spot on news.
Nevertheless, she respects her father’s decision and “completely understands it”. The pop singer is therefore “very happy because he can now do things that have been neglected in recent decades”. In his retirement, he wants to “enjoy his private life to the fullest,” explains Joelina Drews.
Travel and family time
Family life has “not changed at all” due to Drews’ neuropathic condition, polyneuropathy, which restricts his mobility, the 26-year-old reveals. “On the contrary: Actually, a lot more changed when I moved out, because I’m not at home with my parents that often anymore.” The 77-year-old now has “a lot more time to devote to my mom and I and I will definitely plan some more trips with them”.
