The Museum proposes -for the reopening to the public- a new way to display your collection so that childhoods can connect with different periods of Argentine history and of the City, from a look playful and educational.

Now, the selection of the objects that make up the collections, the documents, the manuscripts, the works of art, the clothing and the objects interact interactively with new technologies as if they were a bridge between the past and the present, facing the future.

In this context, it will also inaugurate the temporary exhibition “Buenos Aires in images: from the river to the city”curated by Raul Piccioni and Catalina Farawhich will bring together pieces of its heritage never before exhibited together, most of them belonging to the collection of William H. Moores.

The reopening of the museum will coincide with the beginning of the Winter holidays 2022 and for this reason a day dedicated to the childhoods. The event will start at 14 with “Sound Adventure”a playful tour to discover the rooms of the museum blindfolded.

At fifteenthe show will be held “Don Florencio’s Band” and, to close the day, families can enjoy the musical show of “Harlequin World”.

The Historical Museum of Buenos Aires Cornelio de Saavedra, inaugurated on October 6, 1921 thanks to the collector’s legacy Ricardo Zemborainhas a collection of objects and documents that are part of the national wealth and narrate the Argentine and Buenos Aires historical processes.
