Former US national ice hockey player James Ryan “Jimmy” Hayes (1989-2021) has passed away. He was only 31 years old. His former employer, the NHL club Boston Bruins, announced the death of the former striker.

Jimmy Hayes made over 300 appearances in the US professional NHL league for clubs such as the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks before ending his active career in 2018. His brother Kevin (29) is under contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.
