They denounce that they did not enable the two shows of La Renga in Tecnópolis

The realization of the recitals, which are produced by Palazzo and the producer Rock & Reggae, are unknown. The municipality of Vicente López has not yet responded to the presentations that the band’s work team made more than 15 days ago.

“Discrimination”

During the recording, the businessman explains that Radiohead, El Duki, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Anthrax and Soy Luna, among others, have already played on the Tecnópolis beach, where the two shows are scheduled.

Although the property belongs to the National State, being located in the town of Villa Martelli, it requires municipal authorizations by the management of the provisional mayor Soledad Martinezwho took office after Mayor Jorge Macri crossed General Paz to join Horacio Rodríguez Larreta’s cabinet.

“We have to say publicly that this is an intentional, discriminatory and censorious act towards La Renga. The prohibition of playing, not only irrefutably, but with omission, without giving us information or answers, is a very serious case,” Palazzo said.

Immediately afterwards, he added: “La Renga is going to play on the 20th and 27th in Tecnópolis. We need urgent responses from the municipality because this is a discriminatory act by the municipality of Vicente López towards La Renga.”

“Tecnópolis is a popular, inclusive, diverse, massive and equalizing space. In the case of La Renga and Vicente López, there is no equalizer,” concluded Palazzo.

Return

For his part, heThe Association of Musical Managers of Argentina (ACMMA) issued a statement “expressing its concern about the impossibility of holding the La Renga Shows in Tecnópolis.”

The shows that the band from Mataderos announced for August were going to be the first in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) since 2017, when they performed at the Huracán stadium in the City.

Those presentations were not exempt from controversy either, since the Buenos Aires government initially prevented these concerts from taking place.

“Intentional Delay”

Following Palazzo’s complaint, La Renga issued an official statement announcing the postponement of the start of ticket sales, as a result of the “administrative delay in the delivery of the prior permit intentionally caused by the Municipality of Vicente López.”

“We will exhaust all possible instances to go on sale in a few days. We as a band cannot break the rules that they themselves break, but much less harm people,” the text concludes.

Response

On Tuesday night, the Municipality of Vicente López responded to the producers’ complaints and accused them of being “irresponsible.”

In a press release, the municipality stated: “We want to inform you that up to now the Producer of the band has not complied with the necessary requirements to carry out these shows.”

“It is irresponsible on the part of the Producer to announce the sale of tickets to a show that does not have the necessary permits,” they considered from the town in the north of the Conurbano.
