Nature made itself an actress not only at the Bregenz Festival, where, due to heavy rain, “Madame Butterfly” had to be moved inside from the lake stage after 59 minutes. She also claimed her place on the open-air stage on the Braunberg (Lasberg) on Thursday night at the premiere of the third Upper Austrian country thriller “Zu neu Ufern” (currently in the cinema).
A rush of more than 500 film fans had made it comfortable to meet with leading actress Maria Hofstätter and parts of the film crew – including director Nikolaus Leytner, Hofstätter’s Czech co-star Leonard S. Hädler and producers Tommy Pridnig and Peter Wirthensohn (Lotus Film) – enjoy the new murder story set in the frontier. Summer cinema like in a picture book, until a gust of wind knocked the screen over during the break and damaged it, which led to the demolition.
