Prince Albert visits Charlène with the children in South Africa

Prince Albert II and his children have traveled to South Africa to visit Princess Charlène. She has been in her home country for months. Allegedly health problems make a return to Europe impossible.

After a week-long separation, Charlène von Monaco can hug her children again: The 43-year-old published several photos on her Instagram account, showing her with husband Prince Albert II and the twins Gabriella and Jacques. “I am so happy to have my family with me again,” commented the princess and also revealed that daughter Gabriella had given herself a haircut. The recordings were made in South Africa, where Charlène has been staying since March of this year.

She had originally planned to stay in her home country for only twelve days to support a project run by her foundation. But health problems have made the return trip to Europe impossible so far. Before her trip, Charlène had already undergone an oral surgery, and later an infection in the ENT area occurred, as the Prince’s Palace announced.

Prince Albert’s wife recently underwent another operation. The palace did not reveal exactly why she needed treatment. Prince Albert only announced that his wife had survived the four-hour operation well. “Princess Charlène is recovering and we think of her with tenderness,” said a message. Albert and the twins have now traveled to South Africa to visit Charlène.

Albert and Charlène do not appear as a couple

What is striking about the Princess’s Instagram post: There are only photos of the entire family and children, not a single one shows Albert and Charlène as a couple. A relative of Albert recently told the Italian magazine “Oggi”: “Albert spoke to me about the physical and internal distance with Charlène. I understood that the divorce is imminent. Charlène is going her own way, Albert has chosen his. ” The Monegasque princely couple celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary on July 1st separately.

The prince last traveled to South Africa with the children in June to visit Charlène. “It’s a challenging time for me. I miss my husband and children very much,” the 43-year-old told the South African news website in July.

In an interview with him, she also revealed that the doctors had forbidden her to fly because she could not compensate for the pressure in her ears. “I cannot force the cure,” said Charlène, promising that she would have to stay in South Africa until the end of October. It is not known whether her return will be accelerated by the new operation.
