Duchess Meghan a manipulative diva? Doubts about Tom Bower’s portrayal

In his new book, Tom Bower describes Duchess Meghan as a diva who likes to twist the truth for her purposes. But now there are doubts about the credibility of the journalist.

His book hit like a bomb. In “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors” Tom Bower leaves Duchess Meghan with no good hair. He describes Prince Harry’s wife as a manipulative diva who likes to alter her own story to suit her public image.

Royal book: Author portrays Duchess Meghan as manipulative

But how does the investigative journalist deal with the truth? Flexible, believe those who are now commenting on passages in his book. Two people called to witness Bower’s picture of the Duchess dispute his account of the matter.

First, there’s Vanity Fair journalist Sam Kashner. In 2017, he wrote the cover story about the former Suits actress, titled She’s just wild about Harry. An undertaking that Bower describes as extremely difficult in his book.

Bower claims Meghan hated the headline, after all she wanted to talk about her philanthropic endeavors. In conversation with Kashner, she “manipulated” the journalist, according to the royal expert. “[Kashner] felt like he was being played with. It was a game of cat and mouse, he concluded, and she calculated how to exploit the cards she played,” he writes.

“Vanity Fair” author denies story

Kashner reportedly told Bower that Meghan requested that the magazine portray her however she wanted. In a letter to the British “The Times”, however, Kashner refutes what Bower claims he has heard. “I’m afraid Tom Bower has failed to convey my admiration and respect for Meghan Markle (…). I found Ms. Markle to be extraordinarily warm and kind, and admired her intelligence and remarkable courage, which I still do,” he writes in it and congratulates Prince Harry at the end of his letter. “It’s clearly a love marriage, so maybe we should stop fussing about it and let the couple live in peace,” he says.

But Kashner isn’t the only one taking a stand. Kristen Meinzer is also heard in “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors”. She is referred to as Meghan’s friend, using the pronouns he/she. Wrong, Meinzer explains now.

“In his new book, Tom Bower claims that I’m friends with Meghan Markle and that I use the pronouns he/she. If he can’t even get these simple facts right, how are we supposed to believe anything he says about the Sussexes? ‘ the author wrote on Twitter. In the comments below her tweet, she also says Bower never spoke to her during his research.

Tom Bower is an investigative journalist and author known for his – mostly unauthorized – biographies.
