Sportfreunde Stiller have spoken out in favor of the corona vaccination – but they also understand concerns.
The Sportfreunde Stiller have each other. Accordingly, they dream of “throwing themselves back into the fray as was possible before the pandemic,” as the text says. The vaccination against Covid is the only way to make this fully possible again.
At the same time, the band emphasizes that vaccination is something very private and that they respect all concerns. Nevertheless, they advertise to deal with the topic and to be enlightened. “We are convinced that the vaccines are well tested despite the record approval time.”
“Arm in arm in the middle of the crowd”
Everyone in the band had themselves vaccinated, it is said. “We can protect ourselves and each other in this way and, among other things, save and revive culture.” At the end of the text, the Munich band gives a hopeful outlook for better times: “So that we can enjoy exuberant evenings in sweaty clubs and irradiated weekends at festivals. Arm in arm in the middle of the crowd.”
It had become comparatively quiet around sports fans during the pandemic. At the end of last year, the band’s drummer, Florian Weber, announced that they were working on new music. The last album “Sturm & Stille” was released in 2016.
