Sorvino began his career as a copywriter at an advertising agency and attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy before making his Broadway debut in the musical Bajour 1964. Six years later he appeared in his first film, Where’s Poppaof Carl Reinerand in 1971 he played a supporting role in the critically acclaimed film The Panic In Needle Parkstarring Al Pacino.
Sorvino received critical acclaim for her performance in the Broadway play That Championship Season of Jason Miller 1972 and was nominated for a Tony for his performance. He reprized the role of him in the film version.
Sorvino also had a prominent supporting role in the Academy Award-winning film A Touch Of Classand in 1981 he co-starred in his old friend’s film Warren Beatty, networks.
He is best remembered for playing Paul Cicero, aka Big Pauly, in the film Good boys of Martin Scorsese. Tape that only a few months ago lost another of its protagonists, Ray Liotta.
