For her new lingerie collection, Rebecca Mir is in top form just a few months after the birth of her son.
Model Rebecca Mir (29) is back from her parental leave with a bang. The first fashion shoot after the birth of her son in April shows the new mom in lingerie. The former “GNTM” candidate and presenter presents her second collection in collaboration with Hunkemöller. “The perfect mix of comfortable, yet sexy and sensual,” says the 29-year-old happily about the creations, which will be available from September 6th.
How did it feel to be in front of the camera for a shoot for the first time after giving birth?
Rebecca Mir: The shoot was my first trip with baby and also my first shoot after pregnancy. But I have to admit that I was more excited before the trip than before the shoot (laughs) – but thank goodness everything worked out wonderfully. We shot in Ibiza and it was really super nice!
Did you have concerns about showing yourself back in lingerie just a few months after giving birth?
Mir: The campaign was already being planned when I was not yet pregnant. But in Hunkemöller I really have a very great partner by my side who told me from the start that I can contact me for the shoot if I feel like it and how I feel comfortable then. And that’s exactly how I did it.
Did you train before the shoot and pay attention to your diet?
Me: No, not at all. I took it very slowly, going for a walk at most – you can’t do more than that, even after pregnancy. In addition, I also breastfeed: my midwife always tells me to eat a little greasier food. I want my little one to get all the nutrients they need. It’s my first pregnancy and I really trust the things my doctor or midwife and of course my mother advise me.
You have fulfilled a dream with your own lingerie collection. What are your favorite pieces?
Mir: We have a few pieces with us that are cut a little differently and I also really like the colors. Of course I’m still a total body fan, there are several in my collection. You can also combine them to go out in a really cool way and, for example, wear a chic blazer with it.
In which lingerie do you feel most comfortable yourself?
Me: For me, my collection combines the perfect mix of comfortable, yet sexy and sensual and the pieces flatter the figure. I also incorporated a lot of high waist because I think that every woman is good.
You can already be seen on TV again. How do you reconcile being a mother and being a tough moderator?
Mir: After a few months I tried out how it works to host a live broadcast with Baby on set and it worked out really well. Massimo and I have always accompanied each other to our jobs even before pregnancy and that’s how we do it now – only that the other one takes care of the little one.
