After the release of The Gray Man this weekend, where it debuted as the #1 movie on the platform in 92 countries and earned an audience score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, Netflix could have the 007-esque spy franchise you were looking for.
Netflix and AGBO are also developing a spin-off of The Man in Gray, also based on the book series. They keep the details secret, but they have the writers of dead pool Y zombieland, Paul Wernick Y Rhett Reeseas screenwriters.
What is The Man in Gray about?
The Gray Man is CIA agent Court Gentry (Gosling), also known as the Sierra Six. After his escape from prison and being recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry, once a highly-skilled death merchant for the agency, is now hunted around the world by his former partner Lloyd Hanson (Chris Evans), who will do everything possible to eliminate it. But he has the help of agent Dani Miranda (Anne of Arms)… and you will need it.
