Daniela Büchner has left “PBB”. In an interview, she reveals whether she wants to talk to Papis Loveday after the show.
On Wednesday evening (August 25th) Daniela Büchner (43) had to leave “Promi Big Brother” by surprise. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, Büchner reveals where she suspects the origins of negative prejudices against herself and whether she is planning a discussion with Papis Loveday (44) after the end of the show. She also talks about things that she learned during her time in “TV Universe” – or at least tried to.
Welcome back to “Earth”! Are you very sad or even a little happy after being kicked out of the “Celebrity Big Brother” universe?
Daniela Büchner: I’m relieved. The last day or two wasn’t so easy for me. You can tell that at some point you are really broken. I am proud of myself, because seventh place is also a success! I was able to show who I am, even if I was a bit bitchy or loud in between.
On Tuesday’s broadcast you complained about negative prejudices against yourself …
Büchner: Yes. It is the case that people have prejudices because of the things that happened in the jungle camp, or because I was open about my husband’s death … It was important to me to show that I am normal and other aspects as well even if it came across differently in the jungle.
In which situations do you feel these prejudices most often?
Büchner: On social media, but also, for example, on “Celebrity Big Brother”. They said I was a professional, but I am not. Instead, it was even a little more difficult for me, precisely because people have so many prejudices. You can tell by the way they look at you or ask questions.
What would you most like to say to the people out there?
Büchner: Maybe that one should first wait with the prejudices until one knows the person better – and that applies to all of us. Still, there will always be people who don’t like me, and that’s okay, because I don’t like everyone either.
Shortly before you left last night, you had an argument with Papis Loveday. Are you planning to resolve the argument?
Büchner: I thought about it very briefly because of course I saw what a show he put on after I had to leave the space station. But to be honest: you should all say what you want. It was a game and I don’t feel like digging anything up. They’ll all do it on their own. I’ll look at it with a smile and listen.
It wasn’t the first time you and others have argued. What do you think that’s the reason?
Büchner: I don’t know. Explain it to me!
Perhaps there are prejudices involved here too?
Büchner: Well, discussions and quarrels always arise when you disagree; when someone is brave enough to stand up and speak up. There are strong characters who can’t handle it. I find it difficult if you only look for the fault in yourself, because several people always play a role. Everyone wants to show who they are, and some like that more and others less. However, I take myself out of there and never step after it. This is not my style.
As the saying goes: “The wiser gives in”?
Büchner: Then I’m the smartest of them all! (laughs)
Immediately after your exit from “Celebrity Big Brother” you said you were especially looking forward to your children. Have you met her yet?
Büchner: Unfortunately not. You’re in Mallorca and I’m still a guest at the final show, but I’m going home for the weekend and I’m really looking forward to it. However, we have already telephoned and seen each other via video call. That was really nice.
What is the most important thing that you have learned in the “PBB” universe?
Büchner: To be able to sleep in any situation, regardless of whether it is loud or not. And I tried not to rage myself so quickly. That actually worked a bit.
Who are you keeping your fingers crossed for victory?
Büchner: Melanie (Müller) definitely deserved the win. I got to know her as a great person and we will keep in touch. I would also wish (the victory) Danny and Marie.
