Film star Daniel Brühl moved from Berlin to Spain with his family. Corona and the war in Ukraine are the motives.
The German-Spanish film star Daniel Brühl (44) has moved from Berlin to Spain, his country of birth, with his wife, Felicitas Rombold-Brühl, and their two children. The actor, director, voice actor and audio book speaker gives two reasons for this in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”.
One reason is the effects of the corona pandemic, which his family felt in the big city. Another driver was “the war situation, which feels much closer in Berlin,” explains the Barcelona-born artist. “I wanted to offer my five-year-old son, who is now asking a lot of questions, the chance to move to his second home where it’s just more peaceful,” says Brühl.
The family lives in the country, in the mountains and by the sea, he reveals and enthuses: “It’s a radical change, but it feels fantastic.” But that’s not all: It’s “one of the best decisions I’ve made in 22 years,” he concludes.
Big love since 2016
Daniel Brühl and Felicitas Rombold married in 2016 behind closed doors. The actor actually only told the magazine “Bunte” about the secret wedding in February 2018. The couple’s two sons were born in 2016 and 2020.
