Ashley Judd has met her rapist for a ‘repair talk’. He had “shown deep remorse”.
US actress Ashley Judd (54, “Norma Jean & Marilyn”) met the man who raped her in 1991 to have a “reparation talk”. When she found him, she said to him, “I’m very interested in hearing the story you’ve carried around with you all these years.” That’s what Judd said now.
The actress also stressed that she didn’t need her rapist’s “cooperation” in agreeing to the meeting, or that he “make amends” or express his “deep regret.” All of this was just an encore, because healing from grief is an internal matter.
Judd also explained why she wanted to tell this story in the podcast talk. “Because there are many ways to overcome grief and it’s important to remind the audience that I didn’t need anything from him.”
“Triple Rape Survivor” and Alleged Weinstein Victim
Back in 2019, Ashley Judd declared that she was “a triple rape survivor.” One of these attacks led to a pregnancy that caused her to terminate.
In 2017, the actress was one of the first women to have been sexually harassed by former film producer Harvey Weinstein (70).
