The American rapper JayDaYoungan is dead. After a shootout, the 24-year-old died of his injuries.
Javorius Scott (1998-2022), better known as rapper JayDaYoungan, has died after a shooting. This is confirmed by the police in the city of Bogalusa in the US state of Louisiana. A suspect has apparently not yet been arrested.
Police were on the phone just before 6 p.m. on July 27. Officers responded and found that a person had been taken to the emergency room at the local hospital in a private vehicle. Another seriously injured victim was treated by the local ambulance service and later taken to the emergency room.
About an hour later there was another shooting
In a later update, the police confirmed that the two victims were the rapper and a close family member. JayDaYoungan succumbed to his injuries. The second victim was transferred to another hospital and is therefore in a stable condition.
Officials are currently conducting interviews and following up on leads. There was another shooting about an hour after the shooting. Police are currently assuming the second incident, in which a car was shot and none of the occupants were injured, could be linked to the first.
JayDaYoungan was only 24 years old. One of his most famous songs was “23 Island”, the music video of which currently has.
