Elisabeth Moss will star in a new series from the creator of Peaky Blinders

“We are excited to continue our association with Steven Knight on ‘The Veil’ and thrilled to have Elisabeth Moss signed on for the lead role,” he said. Nick Grad, president of original programming for FX in a statement. “Steven’s scripts are riveting and will certainly showcase Elisabeth’s exceptional talent.”

Knight writes and executive produces “The Veil”with Moss serving as executive producer under her Love & Squalor Pictures banner.

“I am absolutely thrilled to tell this story, which is truly international and very contemporary,” said Knight. “We have brought together some of the most talented people in the business. Working with Denise Di Novi is always a pleasure and I have wanted to work with Elisabeth Moss for a long time. Of course FX and I are old friends. I think this will be a historic television event.”

This will mark Knight’s fourth project with fx till the date. She previously worked with the chain in “Taboo”starring Tom HardyY “A Christmas Carol”starring Guy Pearce. It also has an adaptation of “Great Expectations” on the way to FX with Olivia Coleman. Knight is also known for creating the popular series “Peaky Blinders”as well as the series of Apple “See”. It was recently announced that she is working on a series about Enzo-Ferrari for Manzana.

Moss currently stars in the hit series Hulu “The Handmaid’s Tale”, which will premiere its fifth season in September. Moss won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the show in 2017 and a Golden Globe Award in 2018. She is also known for her role as Peggy Olson on the series AMC “Mad Men”, which earned him six Emmy Award nominations. Her recent credits include the series of Apple “Shining Girls” and the movie Universal “The Invisible Man”.
